Scott Cash Thompson is the owner of Clipper Wealth Management, LLC an independent financial planning firm in San Antonio.  In addition to earning a Bachelor's degree from the University of Texas San Antonio, he holds an important designation - CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, which greatly improves his ability to serve his client's financial needs.  CFP practioners have taken the extra step to demonstrate their professionalism by voluntarily submitting to the rigorous CFP certification process that includes testing, ethical standards, background checks and continuing education.  

Scott works extensively in assisting high net worth individuals manage their wealth while properly allocating their portfolios.  In addition to investments and retirement planning, Scott also handles insurance needs, long-term and disability care planning and college education planning.  Following the longstanding philosophies of LPL financial, Scott ensures that a client's interest come first and foremost.  He has created a business model that focuses around a client's financial needs; estate planning, utilizing a CPA and financial planner.  These three separate professionals plot the course based on a client's goals and needs.  

Before opening Clipper Wealth, Scott worked for a large wire house brokerage firm, but he saw the need for independent objectivity and equitable advice that he believe can only only be found by being self-employed and putting your client's needs first.  It's the personal service and putting our client's needs first that sets us apart from the rest.

Scott is an avid fly-fisherman and golfer.  He and his wife Marti have 3 children: Ashley (29), Kylee (16) and Colton(13).  Scott's outside activities include volunteering.  He is a fanatic about fly-fishing, traveling,
